Kathleen joined United Road as President in 2011, assuming the CEO role in 2012. She and her team have grown the company into the second largest finished vehicle logistics provider in North America, handling the movement of over 3 million new, remarketed and specialty cars and light trucks annually. Investing heavily in its proprietary and patented OVISS system, United Road recently spun off a new company focused on expanding the licensing of its logistics software in and outside the industry. United Road’s headquarters is located in Romulus, Michigan with several other locations throughout the United States and Canada. For over twenty years prior to her position at United Road, Kathleen held various senior executive positions with Soave Enterprises located in Detroit. Her extensive experience includes leading operations in the beverage distribution, automotive retailing, and solid waste and transportation industries. A Michigan native, she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University and began her career as a CPA. She currently serves as a member of the Automobile Carriers Conference of the American Trucking Associations and provides leadership support to numerous other industry and community organizations.
Mark joined United Road in January 2014 as its Chief Operating Officer. Mark has over 25 years of professional experience spending his career leading several multi-dimensional businesses with significant logistics components, including solid waste collection, fuel distribution and OEM plant services, among others. After starting his career as a CPA, Mark transitioned to operations becoming COO and CEO for different transportation related entities. Mark’s undergraduate degree is from The University of Notre Dame and he also has an MBA from The University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
Dave joined United Road as its Chief Financial Officer in charge of finance, treasury, payroll and administration in late 2017. With nearly 20 years of experience in public accounting and in various executive roles with Metaldyne, a global Tier 1 automotive supplier, Dave's been responsible for all financial operations, planning and analysis, corporate divestitures and acquisitions, strategic planning and compliance, among other things. Dave earned his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Michigan State University.
Matt has served as the company’s Chief Information Officer since 2000 and is the primary inventor of the company’s OVISS operating system. He has been involved with the transportation industry since 1995. Prior to United Road, Matt worked with United Parcel Service in both Operations and Industrial Engineering, where he focused on process improvement and automation. Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Arkansas.
Patrick has served as Senior Vice President of Purchasing and Asset Management since 1999 and administers the company’s largest national purchasing programs, fleet maintenance operations and regulatory compliance along with facilities management. Patrick has developed programs that have taken significant costs out of the business, standardized fleet specifications and enhanced maintenance processes. Prior to joining United Road, Patrick was a founding principle of MPG Transco, Ltd., a Livonia, Michigan based Automobile transportation business, purchased by United Road in 1999 and the largest acquisition United Road has made to date.
Charles has served as the company’s Senior Vice President of Risk Management since 1998. He oversees and directs the company’s claims management, compliance and safety, and quality and training initiatives. Prior to joining United Road, Charles served as Manager of Environment, Health, and Safety between 1992 and 1998 for United Waste Systems, a waste management company based in Greenwich, Connecticut. Charles earned a Bachelor of Science from Montana State University and a MA from Boston University where he received a Jesse B. Noyes Foundation Fellowship.
Dave joined United Road in September 2011. He has twenty years experience in multi-disciplinary supply chain roles. He has served as logistics leader for major global companies in the consumer packaged goods, packaging, and chemical sectors. His areas of expertise include managing large scale distribution networks, multimodal transportation, carrier relations, and transportation management system (TMS) design and implementation. Dave holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and an MBA in Operations Management from DePaul University’s Kellstadt School of Business.
Mike has served as the Senior Vice President of the company’s operations for 15 years, focusing on the West, South Central and South Eastern regions. He has been with United Road for 15 years and has over 22 years of experience in the industry holding management positions at several leading logistics and transportation companies. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in finance law from Portland State University and an MBA from Michigan State’s Eli Broad Graduate School of Management.
Eric joined United Road in April 2012 to lead our Human Resources initiatives. He has over 20 years in trucking; working in industry niches including less-than-truckload, full-truckload, team expedite, flatbed, heavy-haul and over-dimensional freight. Within transportation, Eric has held leadership positions in many disciplines including operations, business development, safety, recruiting, and human resources. Eric holds an undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University and an MBA in Human Resources from Ashland University.
Anita has a wide variety of financial experience in several industries, including most recently with The Spar Group as the Corporate Controller. Anita has over 23 years experience with accounting, finance, budgets and other financial responsibilities. Anita began her career a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Walsh College.
Vickey has over 20 years of logistics administration experience in the car haul industry. Prior to her current position, she served as Manager of Central Administration and Site Controller for the Northeast region. Between 1990 and 1999, Vickey served as Controller and MIS Director for MPG Transco, a Michigan based transport company. Vickey earned a Bachelor of Arts from Cleary University.
