United Road Announces Haully Carrier of the Year 2022 Winners

PLYMOUTH, Mich., May 14, 2023 – United Road and our Haully team are happy to announce and congratulate the winners of our third annual Haully Carrier of the Year Awards for 2022: Tornado Auto Haulers, Inc., Palos Park, Illinois (small); Transauto LLC, Powell, Ohio (mid-sized); and a second-time large category winner, East Side Auto Transport, Wallingford, Connecticut.  

Winners were selected based on-time delivery metrics, use of our Magnus app, and revenue hauled. They are in the 97th percentile for damage-free vehicle delivery. These model carriers commit to customers and uphold the highest quality standards. We applaud them for setting the bar high. 

Since September 2019, Haully’s 5,100 qualified third-party partners have transported nearly 5 million vehicles for United Road’s more than 10,000 customers. Haully is the second-largest load board in the industry.

LARGE: East Side Auto Transport, Wallingford, Connecticut

We congratulate two-time Haully Carrier of the Year Award Winner East Side Auto Transport! East Side is our large category winner, also winning in 2020! General Manager Grant Kolton said the company was founded in 1992 in Wallingford, Connecticut. 

“It feels great to be honored for the second time by United Road. We are humbled to be acknowledged and appreciated in this industry,” Grant said. East Side Auto Transport moves more than 150,000 vehicles annually, supported by a team of 45.

“Haully’s self-service is important, especially after hours,” Grant said. “It saves us so much time. The platform is flexible, and we can change drivers and trucks ourselves.” For those not using Haully, Grant said, “Get on there! It works for us, and it would work for any sized company. Using Haully is one of the best business decisions we have made.”

Grant says his team has a 99% on-time delivery rate. “The key is communication with customers. I would also say we’re charming! We understand our customers’ needs, and that creates good relationships with them.”

Our team transported several vehicles from South Carolina to Texas. Working with United Road is fun, and we are grateful that they trust us enough to give us business.”

Mid-Sized: Transauto LLC, Powell, Ohio

Sandro Inglez is a powerhouse among carriers, operating with 17 trucks and an equal number of carhaulers, transporting more than 20,000 vehicles annually. Sandro founded Transauto LLC in 2013 in Powell, Ohio. Congratulations to Sandro and his team for being selected as United Road’s 2022 Haully Carrier of the Year Award Winner in the midsize category.

“I have been in this business for 25 years. In 2013, I started as a fleet owner for United Road. During those years, I grew my fleet to 24, then the pandemic hit. After the pandemic, I decided to get my own authority,” Sandro said. “I have always bought new trucks and have been quite successful ever since.”

Sandro attributes his success to his carhaul team. “My guys have been with me a long time and are devoted carhaulers. They deliver on-time, are professional, and deliver damage-free vehicles. My drivers are definitely the core of the company.”

The Haully platform helped contribute to Transauto’s success. “Haully has superior performance. It’s easy to dispatch loads quickly and easily. The site is simple to use and makes it easy to work with United Road. Small: Tornado Auto Haulers, Inc., Palos Park, IL

Tornado Auto Haulers Inc., founder Monther Jebreal and his team haul nearly 4,000 vehicles annually. We congratulate him and his family carhauling team, including his son, cousin, and wife, for receiving the 2022 Haully Carrier of the Year Award in the small carhaul business category. The company was founded in 2013 in Palos Park, Illinois.

“Haully has helped my company so much. I can access loads 24 hours a day, and it is user-friendly. The easier it is to get loads, the more money I make,” Monther said. “The Haully platform is different. I don’t have to deal with multiple companies.”

We asked what makes his company special, “It’s mine! I do my best. I work almost exclusively with United Road and have never had issues. Also, my rating on Central Dispatch is 100%,” he added.

Monther appreciates United Road’s support. “Last year, I had an issue with a dealer who said I only delivered six of the seven cars I hauled. United Road helped with the investigation. The dealership found the vehicle with the key. United  Road supported me, believed in our company, and helped with the situation. I love working with United Road!”

Carhaul owners enjoy their freedom. “I began my career towing auction cars. Then I bought a three-car hauler, a four, seven, and nine, and kept moving up. I love the fact that I make my schedule. I am my own boss and travel all over the United States,” Monther said.

  • 90% on-time delivery
  • 90% Magnus Driver App (MDA) compliance
